Newton Donation Garden
Integrity, creativity, and empathy shape the way we work.
The meetinghouse grounds are home to two lush vegetable plots, a rain garden, and a butterfly garden. Through the dedicated efforts of neighbors and community members, we are able to use our space to grow fresh food for the local community. The garden has been stewarded by many groups and individuals over the years, including The Garden Project (a rehabilitative program for women transitioning out of a nearby prison halfway house), the Camden Food-Not-Bombs chapter, and a local charter school. It is currently stewarded by Garden Manager, Marian Jones, who distributes the produce to our neighbors.

Newton donated over 20lbs of vegetables to minister Norman Valentine at St Wilfrid's Episcopol Church in East Camden for their Open Door Clinic.
